So, among the 5849053 licenses we are working on right now, Suite Life on Deck is one of them. As part of the book publishing process, I have to know this show inside and out in order to write engaging material about the subject. This pretty much involves watching hours and hours of the Disney Channel - a task I never thought would be in my job description, but a necessary one nonetheless. And every now and then, I actually find these shows somewhat entertaining - purely in an I-write-books-for-tweens kind of way. But there is a character on Suite Life that I absolutely love: London Tipton. She is a parody of Paris Hilton and she really does carry the show, despite it being about unusually small 16-year-old twin boys. She has an Internet show called “Yay Me!” that is, as you can see from this convo with my fellow editor, genuinely adorable.
