I can say without hesitation that since I moved to New York almost 2 and a half years ago, I have purchased THOUSANDS of dollars worth of new clothes, bags and shoes, usually on a binge.

Despite contributing to my undeniable fabulousness, these items have gradually left me with an overstuffed closet (where a lot of my purchases go to die), a barren bank account, and unfortunately, tons of unworn clothes. The last time I did a clothing “purge” was senior year of college, so it’s clear that I’m long overdue for making room.

To jumpstart Clothing Purge ‘08, I decided that I can’t buy the jacket I’m lusting over unless I can sell at least $100 worth of clothes to Buffalo Exchange in Brooklyn this weekend. Stores like Buffalo are usually quite picky about what they purchase, which means I’ll have to be just as picky in choosing what goes and what stays. Wish me luck.
