Today was one of those end-of-summer days where it was unexpectedly overcast and chilly…and people were layering cardigans and scarves over their summerwear. While my Texas roots have instilled this inevitable fear for any impending cold weather, this year I actually feel a little different about the months to come. I can’t say I’m ready to put away my flip-flops just yet, but I AM looking forward to the staples of the Fall season. The thought of cute boots, hot coffee, holidays, snuggling, peacoats and the changing leaves make me happy and anxious! I’ve always said the low temps were tolerable until January 1st (because the holiday season wouldn’t be the same without the cold)…but after that, I don’t care how cute my boots are and what color the leaves are, I just want to hibernate.

I was supposed to go with Whitney tonight to a red carpet movie premiere for Hounddog, but I had a terrible tummy ache and couldn’t find the energy to get out of my sweats and make myself presentable. I think I may be hibernating a little too soon…
