Watching the DNC coverage has reignited a political spark that I thought I lost after 2004. The poignant, inspirational speeches from all of these democrats that I have consistently supported and admired (especially Bill & Hill) have made me really pumped about politics again! That current idiot in the white house left me feeling hopeless/helpless all these years, but I feel good about what is on the horizon. After I saw Obama speak at Washington Square Park last fall (and obviously after he spoke at the DNC four years ago), there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that he is precisely what America needed. He was - and is - the first politician whose words I truly believe. Naive? Maybe. But anyone who can’t see that Obama is the clear choice for president is blinded by something other than party affiliation.
