I’ve been sitting at my desk in my room with the windows open for the past hour or so, enjoying the cool evening breeze. But a few minutes ago, I glanced over and saw this small metal plaque that I’ve oddly never noticed before. I’ve looked out that damn window ten thousand times and this was the first time I’ve ever seen this little message on the fire escape, directly in my eye sight. I don’t know if someone is sneaking around posting these or if it’s been here for 100 years, but I’m hoping it’s the latter.

At least I learned a new word.
