I woke up at 10AM this morning (can you believe it?!) and decided to make use of my lack-of-a-hangover by doing an incredible 90-minute workout at the gym. After a shower and breakfast, Whit and I headed to the upper east to meet the girls at central park, but were quickly deterred when we realized the POPE was coming down 5th Ave just as we were trying to cross over. It was a TOTAL madhouse, so we stopped for coffee until the crowds died down. (People were literally running after the Pope-Mobile.)

There just so happened to be a PUPPY STORE across from our cafe, so we decided to take a quick, innocent peek inside - AND I FELL IN LOVE. I held the most adorable 3-month old male Bichon Frise, and I never wanted to let go (but more on that later). After I found the cutest, sweetest man in Manhattan, Whitney ditched me to go shopping, and I eventually made my way through the park to meet up with Melissa, Heather, Anjali, Emily & Danielle, where we sat out on the sheep’s meadow (see pic below) and enjoyed the incredible SPRING weather.

I met back up with Whit later and we did some shopping and ended our outing with much needed pedicures. Then later this eve, I walked over to Gramercy and met up with my old roomie Jess to have margs & Mexican food. So all in all, a perfect day! And now I’m in my comfy PJs watching Bridget Jones (such a cliche!) - avoiding all invitations to go out because I want nothing more than to have a wonderful Sunday as well :)
