Confession: I like the show Toddlers & Tiaras on TLC.
Yes, it’s terribly disturbing how these little girls look like 35-year-old women. And yes, the pageant moms are usually forceful, overweight, sad hot messes who are slowly destroying any potential these little ones have at a normal life. But the show is, at the very least, entertaining and fascinating.
So, this Halloween, I am dressing up as a child beauty pageant contestant. I have white patent maryjanes, ruffle socks, a “wow wear” dress, lots of tulle, sequins, ringlets, fake eyelashes and a tiara.
It’s brilliant. Trust me.
